Intro
I'm the owner of this site and the company Garlic Software. I've been doing consulting and contract software work for over 20 years in my extra time. I have a variety of interests which some are detailed below.

I'm not using a bunch of social sites anymore and am really only listed on LinkedIn at the moment. I may be back on Twitter, FaceBook, and MySpace but I'm currently not seeing any benefit to being on all of them.

World of Warcraft
I play World of Warcraft in my spare time. I've been playing it since it came out and have enjoyed most of it. I usually go by the name LT or Life as you should notice by my toon naming convention. Here are links for most of my characters.

My main guild on the Proudmoore realm is Order of Exiles. I also help out with The Older Gamers which runs the Thorns of Gold guild on Proudmoore and Thorns of Grey on Blackrock.

Duels
I've just started playing Duels which is pretty easy. Kind of like a WoW but at a much slower pace. It is all web browser based so you can play for 5 or 10 minutes here and there. Click the image linked below to check it out.

Favorite Stuff
Companies

  • Netflix I like watching movies and Netflix is the perfect choice for borrowing movies to watch.
  • Simply Audio Books I listen to audio books while driving and Simply Audio Books is to audio books as Netflix is to movies. Borrowing the books has saved me over a thousand dollars.
  • Amazon When I want to buy something like a book, movie, sheets for the bed, Amazon has a great price for it and usually free shipping. You can also order stuff from the other Amazon properties like Amazon Japan even if you live in the US and they will ship it to you. Amazon in the US doesn't carry a lot of the stuff that the Japanese site carries.

Outdoor Gear

  • The North Face Nice gear that last a long time with a good warranty. I have clothes, back packs, jackets, and sleeping bags.
  • MSR I have stoves, cookware, hydration, and water treatment gear from them. Good stuff and you can get maintenance kits for the user maintainable items.
  • REI They are a Co-op that you join and then get a rebate check every year from the amount of money you spend there. Check out a local retail store near you if your into outdoor activities.

Guns

  • Glock I like my model 27 sub compact. Great for concealed carry.
  • Kahr Arms I have a PM9 model which is very small and thin. Easy to carry in a front pocket.
  • Beretta I'm still partial to my 92FS just because is was one of the first ones I got to use in the Army (besides the classic 1911).
  • Galco Gun Leather Very nice holsters. Check out the U.D.C. (Ultra Deep Cover) line for good concealment.

  • BOINC Statistics for the World This is the statistics for all of the projects that use the BOINC interface. See the three items above this.
  • EFF Helping to defend our civil liberties.
  • NRA Helping to protect my gun rights. I don't really agree with all of their political views but I do want them to help protect my right to have, carry, and use guns.
