iTunes Store still sucks

I've graduated to the next error message after the phone was updated finally to the 2.0 version. The new one is: "We could not complete your iTunes Store request. An unknown error occurred (-4). There was an error in the iTunes Store. Please try again later."

My phone now has the 2.0 software on it and was restored with all my data. When I now plug in my phone to my computer, iTunes decides to contact the iTunes Store for some unknown reason. This is where the error is now occurring. This better be a one time thing that iTunes needs to check in with the store when I sync my phone. It would really suck if I have to have a working internet connection every time I want to sync my phone to my computer. Whomever came up with that requirement would have to be fired.
