A Wizard of Earthsea
Submitted by scott on Wed, 11/12/2008 - 10:09.I just finished reading A Wizard of Earthsea by Ursula K. Le Guin. It is a pretty short book but the first in a series. The series is up to six books now which is going to take me some time to acquire and read.

Peopleware: Productive Projects and Teams
Submitted by scott on Sun, 11/02/2008 - 10:41.I just finished reading Peopleware: Productive Projects and Teams by Tom DeMarco and Timothy Lister. As a knowledge worker I can relate to all the issues raised in this book. There are so many times while reading it that I thought they were describing either my current company or some past company. I am guilty of even some of the things I've read but now I know a little more and can change my actions. I'd love to find a company that has built a healthy community within it's organization.

Confessor
Submitted by scott on Sun, 11/02/2008 - 09:32.I just finished reading Confessor by Terry Goodkind. This is supposed to be the last book in the Sword of Truth series. It is nice to finally have the series wrapped up as it is a long one. I started it with Chainfire that I found in the book store in MP3 audio book format then went on to listen to all of the other books in the series in totally random order.

The Amber Spyglass
Submitted by scott on Wed, 10/01/2008 - 23:44.I just finished the book The Amber Spyglass by Philip Pullman. This is the third and final book in the series titled His Dark Materials. Personally I think the ending of the series is a bit weak but for the age group it is targeted to (teens) it probably makes more sense. After finishing the series, I don't think I would read another book by the author.

Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them
Submitted by scott on Tue, 09/02/2008 - 23:33.I finished reading Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them: A Fair and Balanced Look at the Right by Al Franken during my road trip. I think he is pretty funny and enjoy his style.

Small Favor
Submitted by scott on Sat, 08/23/2008 - 20:50.I just finished reading (or I should say listening to) Small Favor by Jim Butcher. I liked the TV series The Dresden Files and this was the second book I've read of his. I'll read a few more of his books.
I'm on a road trip and I'm listening to several books this week and next week.

Life of Pi
Submitted by scott on Fri, 08/22/2008 - 23:12.I just finished reading Life of Pi by Yann Martel. It is a fairly interesting story and has an interesting ending. The ending is definitely not what I expected. I think I would be able to survive in a life boat for a very long time but I'm not sure I would want to if my entire family was gone. There are several different religions discussed in the book which I found fascinating. The part where the Rabbi, the Imam, and the Priest all get into a discussion was pretty interesting.
