I really like it when a Winery has all of their information online that I can reference. The Reininger Winery has a very nice site with lots of information about their wines. Check it out at: http://www.reiningerwinery.com They also print their web address on their corks which is a nice idea.

2007 Malbec (Mendoza), Crios de Susana Balbo, Argentina

I shouldn't have tried this wine while having a cold. Sadly my nose is not working and my taste buds are broken. I could only say that what I could smell was a little sweetness which was nice and it did taste fine. My cold is finally waning so I'll have another taste.

An OK wine. Not that special to me. I'll have to try another Bierzo or two.

This is a great value in wine. Nice taste to me. I'm going to buy a case of this wine I think it is that good and a great value.

Available at Spec's for $8.50 and at Costco for $9

[UPDATE]
Here is a link to the winery. I didn't actually look on the cork for the URL which is where it is hidden. Just noticed it as I opened another bottle.

I'm not a fan of white wines but I thought I would give them another try. Not much to say about this wine since I had a very small half glass and didn't want anymore. What popped in my mind was sweet and butter when I tried it. I have a couple others to try but I'm thinking I may just stick to reds.

Available at Spec's for $28.

2005 Bordeaux, Chateau Ballan-Larquette, France

2005 Grand Bordeaux, Chateau Ballan-Larquette, France label

This is a mix of Cabernet, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc. This is my first experience with a Grand Bordeaux and this wine is very nice. Smooth and well worth getting a case.

Available at Spec's for $11

2006 Shiraz, Two Hands Gnarly Dudes, Barossa Valley, Australia

2006 Shiraz, Two Hands Gnarly Dudes, Barossa Valley, Australia wine label

This is a tasty wine although I had it with fish and I didn't care for the pairing that much but the wine is not at fault. Smooth finish with a little acidic on the palate. To me there is a little black cherry taste in the finish.

Available at H.E.B. for $33
