Wine

2005 Saint Joseph, Aurélien Chatagnier, France
Submitted by scott on Fri, 01/16/2009 - 10:41pm.The nose of this wine doesn't match the taste at all. After smelling it I was expecting a high alcohol taste. I was surprised to have a smooth drink and was totally fooled by the nose. Lots of tannins on the palette at the finish.
Available at Spec's for $35.

2005 Shiraz, Tintara Winery, Australia
Submitted by scott on Fri, 01/16/2009 - 3:14pm.I'm going to start putting up some of the wines I've been trying from all over the world. This is the first in a series of posts that don't really go into wine reviews, just what I've tried and if I liked it or not. I'll try to get label pictures to include as well. Also where you can get it and the price for Austin, Texas, USA. If I can get it in Austin you should be able to get it anywhere.

Red Wine
Submitted by scott on Tue, 04/29/2008 - 6:16pm.One of my favorite wines still to date is a 1996 Robert Mondavi Cabernet Sauvignon. I remember when this wine was available at Costco by the case. I bought many bottles of it and enjoyed them all. It was only a few years later that I began seeing this same vintage really increasing in cost. I remember going into a local Beverages and More store and seeing a single bottle for over $100. I was buying those at Costco for around $20 a bottle and now they were over $100.
