This is a decent wine for the value. If you like syrahs I'd recommend giving this one a try. California is doing a pretty good job on the Syrah varietal.

2005 Petite Sirah, Parducci, Mendocino County, California

I really liked this wine. Very smooth and a pleasure to drink. Light on the tannins and a somewhat fruity taste. I'll get a case of this one.

Parducci has a website at http://www.mendocinowineco.com/Parducci.html but it is heavily flash based so I think it does a huge disservice to the winery and the potential customers. I really disliked their site.

This is a great value in wine. Nice taste to me. I'm going to buy a case of this wine I think it is that good and a great value.

Available at Spec's for $8.50 and at Costco for $9

[UPDATE]
Here is a link to the winery. I didn't actually look on the cork for the URL which is where it is hidden. Just noticed it as I opened another bottle.

The nose of this wine doesn't match the taste at all. After smelling it I was expecting a high alcohol taste. I was surprised to have a smooth drink and was totally fooled by the nose. Lots of tannins on the palette at the finish.

Available at Spec's for $35.
