I've graduated to the next error message after the phone was updated finally to the 2.0 version. The new one is: "We could not complete your iTunes Store request. An unknown error occurred (-4). There was an error in the iTunes Store. Please try again later."

I was trying to upgrade my first generation iPhone to the new 2.0 software version so I could try out some of the new applications and ran into a snag. It seems that the Apple iTunes Store is down or at least overloaded such that I can't activate my phone now. The error message I'm getting is: "We could not complete your iTunes Store request. An unknown error occurred (-9838). There was an error in the iTunes Store. Please try again later."

Every once in a while you need to get the UNIX style path (aka POSIX) to a file or folder in the Finder. I wrote a little Automator workflow that you can put in your ~/Library/Workflows/Applications/Finder and it will show up in the right click Automator context menu.

So what is the next Mac coming down the line? That is the big question on my mind as a Macintosh software developer. I want to know so that I can start thinking about the next killer application that will change the world. Lofty goals I know, but humor me.
